Innovative Technologies Driving Future Innovation
There’s a reason why the STEM fields are getting all the press when it comes to future arenas of study. It’s because technology is driving the evolution in human life, and it’s only going to become more so as time goes on. Technology has marked the past generation. Our lives are inseparable from it, for good or ill. Like our grandparents before us, we’ve lived through some of history’s most awe-inspiring accomplishments. But the changes we see in our lifetimes will dwarf the ones they saw in theirs. Though this may seem impossible when one considers the accomplishments of previous generations (the Moon landing, Wright Brothers achieving flights, the conquering of many infectious diseases, etc.), we’ve only begun to see the fruition of progress that foundational technologies have made possible. Intel is continuing this tradition with their newest technologies: foundational products that will make all other sorts of progress possible in their wake.
One example of Intel’s growing innovation is real time agriculture analytics for farmers. It enables these agriculturalists to know all aspects of the production process from a computer – from soil fertility, to nutrient provision, to water and hydration and light need levels. Similar technology is being used to help seismologists in California anticipate quakes, in enough time to save life and property. Unable to be in all places at all times, the conditions which lead to quakes have long been lost on the scientists who would love to observe them. Intel’s technology makes this possible remotely.
There are many other boundaries that Intel is pushing, no less significant than these. Their ad series demonstrates various applications of their foundational communication and computing technologies. They are examples of innovations which are created to spawn further innovations. These improvements will be spread out all across the globe, in diverse arenas of life, all thanks to fundamental revolutions achieved quietly by giants like Intel.
