12vactuators.com provides mechanisms of linear motion technology. They produce motion linearly; in a straight line. Linear actuators range from light duty to heavy duty. The heavy duty actuators are mainly used for commercial purposes while light duty actuators are for domestic purposes. There are several types of 12v actuators: high speed actuators, mini-tube actuators, mini actuators among others.

The linear motion technology that utilizes the use of 12v actuators has been employed by manufactures to produces smart home gadgets that have made life easy and fun. This is almost everything in the house can be controlled from apps on Smart phones. 2016 has been a trendy year when it comes to smart home technology. Almost every appliance has been fitted with actuators then programmed such that it can be controlled by a smart phone regardless of the distance.

Some of the gadgets that have been trendy in 2016 are as discussed below. Smart sprinkler control can be programmed by a smart phone or a computer. This programming help adjust them automatically on the number of times it should water the lawn. The frequency of watering will depend on the weather forecast and season. This is helpful in terms of water management especially with the unpredictable change of weather.

Smoke detectors have been fitted with linear actuators or in other words have been automated into smart smoke detectors. The smart smoke detectors are capable of differentiating real fire from burnt toast. They can be programmed to monitor the air quality, carbon monoxide and smoke. These are life saving gadgets. By being automated they have saved the smart home owners the stress of the annoying noise made from battery smoke detectors when their power goes low.

Smart solar panels have been another trend in 2016. The automation has been in terms of programming them to turn off in case of an emergency like fire or change in weather. They can also monitor their performance. Homes powered by solar energy are at higher chances of saving money on energy and also have an assurance of sufficient energy throughout the seasons.

Smart lights have been programmed to produce the desired light intensity. They are remotely controlled by a smart phone. Some are fitted with motion sensors. They can switch off automatically when one is leaving the house and switch on when one walks in. Some have also been programmed to act as an alarm. They slowly illuminate the room to wake someone up in a serene mood. They have therefore taken the place of the blaring alarm.

The smart coffee machine has been programmed in such a way that one can control the amount of water, milk amount, and the bean amount remotely from a smart phone. In most cases the heating system in the house has been automated such that it can turn on or off automatically depending on the temperature changes in the house. The showers can turn on automatically once someone gets in. They also keep the desired temperatures and pressure of the water. They then once more turn off when ones walks out. These are some of the gadgets that have been a trend in 2016 though much more improvements are still being done such that they can respond to the wants of people and whenever they want them.
